About Our Campaign

By supporting our program, you will have a direct impact on each individual student-athlete's experience, both on and off the court, as we strive to continue to surpass our successes as a top-25 caliber team.

Your support will help us be able to put ourselves in a position to be successful on and off the court, with enhanced team building and pre-season training opportunities, as well as support a competitive edge for our in-season travel and competition. With your help, our team can travel to play other top-25 teams during our preseason to put us in a better position to not only win our conference, but win rounds of the NCAA tournament.

How Your Support Will IMPACT the JMU Volleyball Student-Athlete Experience

Your gift, of any amount, will help support our team's success on and off the court — including pre-season and in-season team building opportunities and travel — to benefit our student-athlete experience.

• 4 gifts of $200 support the purchase of needed training equipment boxes for our new facility
• 1 gift of $150 supports one student-athlete for our three-day preseason team bonding trip
• 3 gifts of $100 support the purchase of our load management tracking device, Vert, and access to our sports scientist for one year for one student athlete (major help with injury prevention!)
• 1 gift of $50 supports additional practice and game day gear kits for one student-athlete

About JMU Volleyball

JMU Volleyball’s mission is to develop champions, relentlessly, through an incredible student-athlete experience. Our goals are: 

• To become the best version of ourselves; 
• Win the Sun Belt Conference;
• Win First Round of the NCAA tournament; 
• Achieve a team average grade point average (GPA) of 3.3; and
• Give back to our community. 

We have achieved our goals in the past, with winning the 2022 Sunbelt Championship and having our team grade point average GPA as 3.3. We complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service per student-athlete every year and typically go beyond that with last year's number of hours being 542 hours. 

We consistently are working on becoming the best version of ourselves on and off the court. We have made it to the first round of the NCAA tournament, and now our goal is to win the first round!

About Funds Raised During Diggin'Dukes

One hundred percent (100%) of funds raised in support of JMU Volleyball during the Diggin’Dukes campaign immediately go to the JMU Volleyball Sport Program Fund (restricted-use fund) and benefit the JMU Volleyball student-athlete experience.

Sport program funds are restricted-use funds that can only be utilized by the individual sport program. 100% of gifts made to sport program funds go to the selected sport program and are 100% tax deductible. 

If our goal is achieved, funds that exceed our goal will go to support our team operational needs during the 2023-2024 season. 

If we do not achieve our goal, funds raised during the Diggin’Dukes campaign will go to support team operational needs during the 2023-2024 season. 

Funds are allocated at the discretion of our coaches and administration.
