Diggin'Dukes 2023 has ended, but it’s not too late to make your impact on the JMU student-athlete experience.

About Our Campaign

As we prepare for our second season in the Sun Belt Conference, we need your help to surpass our 2023 top 100 RPI ranking.

Through the support of the Diggin'Dukes campaign, the JMU Baseball team hopes to enhance our training regimen and competitive edge with the addition of key advanced training and game day equipment.

How Your Support Will IMPACT the JMU Baseball Student-Athlete Experience

Your gift, of any amount, will help our team attain and maintain advanced equipment — including Hack Attack pitching machines (with our goal being to purchase four machines) and additional student-athlete player kits — to benefit our student-athlete experience for the 2023 season and beyond.

  • 1 gift of $500 supports an additional player training kit for one student-athlete
  • 10 gifts of $350 support the addition of one Hack Attack pitching machine

The Hack Attack pitching machine allows us to hit game-like pitches repeatedly without an actual pitcher on the mound. The machines can throw fastballs, breaking balls, sliders, changeups, and even splitters at speeds up to 100 miles per hour. With new technology, our team can calibrate the machine with the opposing team's pitching metrics — allowing our hitters to repeatedly practice against opposing team pitches and be prepared for game day action before game day with the opponent.

In addition to the pitching machines, we hope to outfit each of our student-athletes with additional training kits — including practice and game-day gear and equipment — to help us be best prepared for all practice and game-day conditions.
