Diggin'Dukes 2023 has ended, but it’s not too late to make your impact on the JMU student-athlete experience.
Men's Golf

About Our Campaign

We are the James Madison University Men’s Golf team!

JMU Golf is the only varsity sport with a dual season counting towards post-season NCAA play. Our goal is to take the next step in the development of our student-athletes by providing opportunities to experience travel, play on great golf courses, and enhance team bonding.

We need your help to provide our student-athletes with a team training trip! Our trip will be an early-season training opportunity to not only help us sharpen our golf skills, but also cement lasting connections among our student-athletes and coaches.

How Your Support Will IMPACT the JMU Men's Golf Student-Athlete Experience

Your gift, of any amount, will help support team operational expenses for training and travel – including travel, room and board, and experiential/team bonding opportunities – to benefit the student-athlete experience.

  • 1 gift of $500+ supports airfare for one student-athlete
  • 1 gift of $350 supports meals for one student-athlete
  • 1 gift of $300 supports housing for one student-athlete
  • 1 gift of $250 supports ground transportation for one student-athlete
  • 1 gift of $250 supports golf expenses for one student-athlete

About JMU Men's Golf

Our mission is to create one of the most elite Division 1 golf programs in the country by providing an amazing education, first-class facilities, and the best overall student-athlete experience possible. We have grown into a well-respected team in Division 1 golf, with many of our players now making careers playing golf professionally. We pride ourselves on graduating our players and developing them as young men on and off the golf course.

A commitment was made to the golf program in 2010 with the construction of the Short game practice facility and moving our indoor area into Godwin Hall. Since that point we have accrued 17 team titles, 17 individual titles, and 22 All-Conference performers. We are able to attract great student-athletes by offering them a place to train and excel.

About Funds Raised During Diggin'Dukes

One hundred percent (100%) of funds raised in support of JMU Men's Golf during the Diggin’Dukes campaign immediately go to the JMU Men's Golf Sport Program Fund (restricted-use fund) and benefit the JMU Men's Golf student-athlete experience.

Sport program funds are restricted-use funds that can only be utilized by the individual sport program. 100% of gifts made to sport program funds go to the selected sport program and are 100% tax deductible.

If our goal is achieved, funds that exceed our goal will go to support any team operational needs during the 2023-2024 seasons.

If we do not achieve our goal, funds raised during the Diggin’Dukes campaign will go to support team operational needs during the 2023-2024 seasons.

Funds are allocated at the discretion of our coaches and administration.
