About Our Campaign

As part of Diggin'Dukes 2023, the JMU Dukes Football team needs your help to continue a smooth transition into the FBS level of Division I football.

In 2023, our main focus has been to continue our success as we transition into the FBS — doing it the JMU way — being fast, physical, and relentless. 

How Your Support Will IMPACT the JMU Football Student-Athlete Experience

Along with our transition, we hope to enhance resources to help us compete at this level and continue to strive in the right direction. These resources are also needed to help us sustain and build off of what we have accomplished in 2022, and so far in 2023. 

Your gift, of any amount, will help enhance our resources — including advanced training equipment, expansion of nutrition and training tables, recruiting opportunities, and additional certified sports performance enhancements — to benefit our student-athlete experience this season and moving forward.

• 1 gift of $500 supports advanced training equipment for one student-athlete
• 1 gift of $500 supports nutrition table enhancements for one student-athlete
• 1 gift of $250 supports training table enhancements for one student-athlete
• 1 gift of $250 supports recruiting enhancements

About Funds Raised During Diggin'Dukes

One hundred percent (100%) of funds raised in support of JMU Football during the Diggin’Dukes campaign immediately go to the JMU Football Sport Program Fund (restricted-use fund) and benefit the JMU Football student-athlete experience.

Sport program funds are restricted-use funds that can only be utilized by the individual sport program. 100% of gifts made to sport program funds go to the selected sport program and are 100% tax deductible. 

If our goal is achieved, funds that exceed our goal will go to support team operational needs during the 2023-2024 seasons. 

If we do not achieve our goal, funds raised during the Diggin’Dukes campaign will go to support team operational needs during the 2023-2024 seasons. 

Funds are allocated at the discretion of our coaches and administration.
