College of Science and Mathematics
Driving the Discovery

In the College of Science and Mathematics, we are dedicated to transforming our undergraduate students into scientists, mathematicians and statisticians through hands-on research experiences. Our departments place student research at the center of the curriculum, and our faculty members work to engage students both in and out of the classroom. Your donation to either of the funds below will go directly towards helping us support our research students.

  • A donation to the College of Science and Mathematics General Fund will help our faculty unlock more opportunities to engage with students through support of equipment, scholarships, travel funding and more.
  • We've also created a new memorial scholarship endowment in honor of Dr. Edwin O'Shea. Dr. O'Shea started in our Mathematics and Statistics Department in 2011 and served as a teacher and mentor to countless students. A donation to this endowment will continue this legacy, and help us support the next generation of scholars participating in mathematics-related research.

Finally, anyone who donates $70 will automatically receive a 2024-2025 College of Science and Mathematics calendar, which will feature types of projects and facilities your donation could support. Questions about this initiative can be directed to csm@jmu.edu or 540-568-7273.
